To give and receive really are two sides of the same coin. It’s true. You can’t have one without the other.

Life is more than just work.  Life is about helping others, and I am so grateful that I get asked.

MUSIC FOR MIRACLES

This Thursday during the CMA Music Festival, I have been asked to emcee a songwriter show at the Wildhorse Saloon which benefits the Starfish Infertility Foundation. My friend, James Lucente recommended me and I was happy to accept and to help this worthy cause.  Donating a few hours of my time to help with their mission is the least I can do.

Corey Crowder, Lance Miller, Brian White and Rob Hatch are donating their time and talent, too. As you can see, these guys are HIT songwriters!

JOSHUA PROJECT

If you read my blogs or newsletters, you know I am also involved with Lipscomb University’s Joshua Project as a mentor. The few hours I invest over the course of a school year pay more dividends than I can count. My relationship with the students, faculty and staff at the university are real gifts and blessings to me.

NOT BRAGGING, JUST SAYING

It’s my sincere hope that you don’t see this as me bragging or boasting.  My intention is simple and it is this:

Give. Give Back. And Give Some More.

Share some of your time.  Share your talents.  Share your love and your money to help others. I promise you’ll be amazed at the results.

GIVE. IT’S YOUR TURN.

Hey, we can’t help everyone and every cause in the world, but like the story on the homepage of the Starfish Infertility Foundation, we can all make a difference.

In my life, I have truly been blessed beyond measure and I really feel that at least a small part of the reason for that is my efforts to give something back. I hope you will join me.

AND ONE LAST THING

Give yourself something too. #TakeTheTwenty  Try this simple exercise to assess where you stand in your career and then reach out to me.  Let’s make a plan for you!
