Bitchin’

Bitchin’.  Yeah, bitchin’. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Clint Richardson (right) is a bitchin’ guitar slinger. Not only is he a total, bonafide badass.  He is one of my heroes. Let me tell you why.

Let’s Rock

Clint and his brother, Tate have never wanted to do anything but rock.  When they were kids they used to stack boxes around the house and pretend they were Marshall stacks and pantomime to the stereo blasting Ozzy, Judas Priest and more. They have both grown to be incredibly talented guitar players and songwriters. These days they are the cornerstones of the Nashville based Cody Parks and The Dirty South. This band kicks serious butt and describes their style as  “Def Leppard on cornbread.” Hey, if you haven’t heard of them don’t worry, you will! Soon!

The Pothole

Six months ago Clint was the victim of a random act of violence. It was a late night robbery in Nashville and he was shot at point blank range.  Fortunately, his cell phone was in his pocket and diverted the bullet just enough to miss his spine. He has spent the past half year in pain, physical therapy and court.

But, check this out.

If Clint ever felt pity for himself he never showed it.  He always stayed focused on his goal of getting back to performing as soon as possible.  To some the robbery could have been a roadblock to their careers but to Clint it was simply a pothole.

Bitchin’

He has not only persevered but has become stronger and tonight, August 16, 2018, Clint “Bitchin” Richardson returns to the stage at  Nashville venue, The Local.

I will be there in the crowd cheering him on.

If you can’t be there tonight, check them out as soon as you can.

Go get ’em, Clint!
