Mardi Gras. Parades. Beads. It all happens so fast and then, POOF. It’s gone. And then it’s on to Lent (which is a whole other story for another time!). But for now, let’s forget about Mardi Gras, parades and beads and focus on what’s important: you.

And your career.  For a moment let’s assume you have some success or notoriety and someone or several someones in the industry are paying attention to you. What steps are you taking to maintain that momentum? I mean, you don’t want to end up in the gutter like so many Mardi Gras beads on Ash Wednesday do you?

Then may I humbly suggest you refer to Tip Number Two of my Top Ten Tips For Emerging Artists: The Art of Follow Up.

Never leave something unsaid or undone.  Don’t allow a brief success to lull you in to stopping. Always remember it is YOUR job to be sure that people know who you are and remember you.

Don’t be a string of beads.
