Bricks are seemingly everywhere. In buildings. Walls. Sidewalks and roads. Not only a very useful building product but they really seem to be everywhere.

Even in this story.

Bricks

The story goes there were three brick layers working on the same construction site.  A passerby stops and innocently asks the first one, “What are you doing there?” Without even pausing the brick layer said, “Laying brick.”

Money

The passerby then moved on and asked the second brick layer, “What are you doing there?” The brick layer responded, “Making twelve bucks an hour.”

When the passerby got to the third brick layer he asked the same question.  This brick layer stopped, looked up and with a smile responded, “Me? I am building the world’s greatest cathedral!”

Three men in the same profession working on the same project and three distinctly different responses to the same question.

I can tell you who I would prefer to be working with.  How about you?
