It is what it is. Or is it?
What?
You hear this all the time and mostly as an excuse for something which has no logical or easy answer. But really what does it mean? I wish I knew.
But here is what i DO know. If it is what it is, it will always be if you don’t take action. That’s right, action. Even a baby step will do. If you really want something to happen you have to do something. Anything.
Right About Now
There is no better time than right now. This very minute. If you are an artist looking for an audience you have tools at your fingertips that weren’t available even five years ago. Think about it. You can record songs and videos and upload them and with the right amount of promotion reach more people than you could possibly play live for in a year. Or more!
If you are a songwriter there are more artists looking for material than I have seen in my thirty years in the business. With the right people on your team you can get those songs heard and maybe even get them recorded by major artists.
It is what it is. Indeed.
