Of Faith, that is. Take a flying leap of faith.

why?

I was fortunate enough to be a member of the Band of Oz from 1984-1988.  The idea of the band performing and recording Over The Rainbow came to me early in my tenure with the band. I brought it up many times and was rejected nearly as many times. Finally, David Hicks and Keith Houston, the leaders of the band said, “Okay. You do an arrangement and a demo and if we like it maybe we’ll record it.” I did and they did so we did.

That leap of faith got me inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame as a member of the Band of Oz in 2016.

what?

All of my questioning, pleading, nagging and bugging Keith and David paid off.  Those baby steps eventually got it done.  I could have given up but by staying intentional to my goal of getting the band to record the song I was able to experience the joy of getting it done.

I never saw nor dreamed of that little leap of faith causing me to receive one of the highest honors imaginable: being inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

I am so grateful.
