I was listening to Road To Nowhere by Talking Heads this morning and it got me to thinking about confidence. Yes, confidence. You may have noticed that recurring theme if you follow me on Instagram and Facebook. I find that a lot of artists, songwriters and creatives seem to suffer a lack of confidence and it makes me want to help.

Because that truly is what I do: I help people.

Road

As in beaten path. As in journey. That’s all this is anyway, a journey down a chosen road. That road was either chosen consciously by you or your talents compelled you to move forward.

And truth be told it’s not an easy road. Hey, if it were easy everyone could do it. But everyone can’t. They don’t have what you have. Talent. Desire. Drive. Persistence. Flexibility. Confidence.

Yes, confidence. In an odd sort of way you would not be on this road if you didn’t have a little confidence in yourself. So why not grow it.

To

Be confident. I firmly believe you can create confidence the same way you create your music. Here are a few random ideas for you:

Allow it to arrive. Acknowledge it.

Try banging your chest and shouting “Confidence, confidence!”

Sit in your car and create your own chant or mantra.

Count your blessings. Write them down. Keep them with you. Read them often. Memorize them.

Nowhere

Else to go but up. You got this. And if you need help, pick up your phone, dial my number and say these nine words:

“Hey, CK, can you help me build my confidence?”

It’s. That. Easy. Reach out to me. Now. Let’s take five minutes and see if I can help you be the best you that you can possibly be.

Thank you!
