I dearly love being from the south and one of the reasons is the way we talk. “Fixing to” is a common southern colloquialism for “getting ready to”. Well, I’m fixing to share some truth with you.  A few pearls of wisdom from the college of musical knowledge.

Fixing to ain’t doing.

Huh?

Look, if you want to be successful as a songwriter or an artist you need to have a goal and a plan.  A step by step plan that you can easily follow.  A plan that will keep you accountable and on track to reach your goal. A roadmap or your own personal GPS.

An action plan so that you know what to do next and aren’t always “fixing to” do something.

You need a plan.

What?

You need a plan.  I can help.  For most of my career I have helped artists and songwriters create and implement plans to move their careers forward. I can do the same for you.

And here are the first three steps:

Step 1. Take The Twenty.  It’s located right on this site and easy to do.

Step 2. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. It’s also located right on this site and easy to do.

Step 3. Sign up for useful and valuable information like BMI’s The Weekly and learn what you can be doing to get ahead.

 When?

How about now would be a good time?  I mean, it is YOUR career.  If you are content where you are then continue on your merry way.

But if you are really serious about doing this and not fixing to do this then go for it.  Take the recommended three steps and get moving.  The momentum of taking action is an astonishing thing. Try it.  You might like it.

Let me hear from you.  Don’t be afraid.  Don’t be fixing to. If I can assist you in any way please email me at chris@chriskeaton.com right now!

Yoo hoo!  Right now!
